My recovery anthem sung to the ‘Star Spangled Banner’
OA, you shall be
My rock and my light
With a cry I did howl
At the last binge I’d taken
This far, but no more
Recovery’s in store
O’er the time well spent
Twelve steps with sponsor
And the inventory laid bare
The amends everywhere
Gave proof to my life
That hope is still there
O say, know that healing through OA will stand
O’er my body and soul and to all I adore.
