We Stood at a Turning Point

This moment in our journey when our old patterns, narratives, beliefs, actions no longer serve us, yet the path ahead is misty, foggy, unclear, uncomfortable.

There is security in the old ways, albeit abusive and dysfunctional. This is crazy talk; we get this. And yet. The unknown requires trust and surrender in a force greater than us. Hardest action ever.

At this turning point, we have a choice. Repeat what we know or embrace the invitation of the unfamiliar, and , with that, possibility. We cannot erase our past, but we can learn from it, grow from it, be transformed by it.

We trust the Higher Power that lead us to 12 step recovery and to walk and work daily, small, consistent steps taken one day at a time.

Growth over fear.

Connection over isolation.

Life over survival.

Each day is an invitation and a reminder that turning points are both endings and beginnings. Closing one chapter; opening another. Our choice. For Today. One Day at a Time.
