A Prayer for the New Year

Above all, a song a praise from my heart to my Higher Power who led me into recovery…

…through the pain and suffering of codependency, people pleasing, and addiction…

A song of gratitude for the healing that has occurred.

A song of hope and promise for the healing that is to come.

I surrender to the level of my awareness. May I become more aware to allow for deeper surrender.

I trust to the level of my awareness. May I become more aware to allow for deeper trust.

May I become willing to go deeper, deeper, deeper into the 12 step journey and into my Higher Power’s arms.

May I find comfort in sitting still and not rush into the distraction of activity.

May I truly feel all the feelings. All of them. And may I process them within my Higher Power’s love, care, and guidance, and no other.

I surrender the toxic patterns that no longer serve me and embrace the health and well being that is in 12 step recovery.

I pray for opportunity to serve others as Higher Power calls me so they may also break free from the bondage of their affliction/addiction.

May this be so in 2024.
