Reading from the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book about the origin story of AA…

“…a wholesale miracle has taken place.” pg. xv Foreward to Second Edition

Wholesale- the selling of goods in large quantities to be retailed by others.

Miracle- a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency.

That is 12 Step recovery in a nutshell.  The sharing of the steps, traditions, and principles to others creates a transaction…using spiritual currency…resulting in a miracle. This miracle is freedom from the bondage of addiction and the freedom to live and thrive physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Thank you Higher Power for this miracle!!
